Information and listen
In its nearly 35 years of existence, the Hexagon Ensemble released ten well-received CD’s featuring a cross-section of beautiful chamber music for winds and piano. The first four CD’s mainly feature the ‘great repertoire’, including Mozart and Beethoven’s quintets and Poulenc’s Sextuor. The last five CD’s collectively form the ‘connection series’. Here, a different format was chosen. Each CD focuses on a country. However, one work or composer does not originate from that country but has a strong connection with it and has lived and/or worked there. Our latest CD (Ich liebe dich) again features the ‘great’ repertoire for winds and piano, including the quintets KV 452 and opus 16 by Mozart and Beethoven.
