Over the more than thirty-five years of its existence, the Hexagon Ensemble made countless recordings. These recordings focused mainly on little-known repertoire, which has always been the ensemble’s hallmark. Especially in the early years, many studio recordings were made for broadcasters. Among the broadcasters the ensemble collaborated with were AVRO, NCRV, TROS, EO, KRO, VPRO, NOS, NPS, NTR, Concertzender, KLARA, Slovenian Radio, and others.
We would like to make a number of these old recordings accessible to everyone. On this page you will find a selection of what we recorded over the years, partly studio recordings and partly live recordings. For this selection we have drawn on the audio archive of Freek Sluijs, former bassoonist of the Hexagon Ensemble. The archive comprises many dozens of CDs.
